Who is Rossy Guzman?
Rossy Maybelline Guzmán is a pastor at the Evangelical Pentecostal Shalom Tierra de Paz Church. She holds a degree in theology. In April 2021, she and her son, Tanner Flete, were arrested for their alleged involvement in the Coral case, which involved state-sponsored corruption led by Major General Adán Cáceres.

Guzmán allegedly acted as a front for Cáceres and is accused of using religion to launder illegal funds. The Special Prosecutor for the Prosecution of Administrative Corruption (PEPCA) questioned her multiple times. The reason for her recent arrest is a leaked intimate video allegedly showing her engaging in extramarital sex.

Guzmán Sánchez was reportedly questioned three times by the Special Prosecutor in February 2022 in connection with alleged ties to Major General Adán Cáceres, the former security chief for former president Danilo Medina, who was also arrested for corruption on Saturday.
This was consistent with the Administrative Corruption Prosecution Act (Pepca). Rossy Guzmán was arrested and is currently in police custody following the release of her intimate video on social media.

According to a report by journalist Nuria Piera, the evangelical pastor owns ten businesses, nine parcels of land totaling 4,000 square meters and worth $709,000, and several luxury vehicles.
As ordered by the court, the pastor was released from preventive detention on December 9 and placed under house arrest with electronic monitoring and a cash bond.
The next scheduled hearing in the case was on January 13.
According to Diario Libre, Rossy Guzmán cannot resume her pastoral duties at the Shalom Tierra de Paz church until the conclusion of her trial. In the interim, her colleagues are managing the church.
The intimate video
The video, titled “Pastor Rossy,” purportedly depicts the woman engaging in consensual sexual activity with a church choir member while being recorded. In the video, the woman acknowledges the camera’s presence and blows it a kiss. There are also rumors that the woman in the video is the former mayor of Durán, Ecuador, Alexandra Arce, though this has not been confirmed.
