Requirements for applicants who completed Advanced Level Studies before 2014: Two principal passes with a total of 4.0 points in two subjects define admission into the respective program (where A = 5, B = 4, C = 3, D = 2, E = 1, and S = 0.5).
Requirements for applicants who completed Advanced Level Studies in 2014 and 2015: Two principal passes (‘C’ and above) with a total of 4.0 points from two subjects define admission into the respective program (where A = 5; B+ = 4; B = 3; C = 2; D = 1; E = 0.5).
Requirements for applicants who completed Advanced Level Studies from 2016 onwards: two principal passes with a total of 4.0 points in two subjects defining admission into the respective program (where A = 5, B = 4, C = 3, D = 2, E = 1, and S = 0.5).
Foundation Programme of the OUT: A GPA of 3.0 accumulated from six core subjects and at least a C grade from three subjects in a respective cluster (Arts, Science, and Business Studies) PLUS An Advanced Certificate of Secondary Education Examination with at least 1.5 from two subjects OR An Ordinary Diploma from the recognized institution with a GPA of at least 2.0 OR NTA Level 5/Professional Technician Level II Certificate

Bachelor of Architecture: Two principal passes in any of the following subjects: advanced mathematics, physics, chemistry, biology, geography, or fine art. In addition, an applicant must have at least a subsidiary-level pass in Advanced Mathematics or Basic Applied Mathematics at A-level or a minimum of a “C” grade in Basic Mathematics at O-level.
Bachelor of Science in Interior Design: Two principal passes in any of the following subjects: physics, chemistry, biology, advanced mathematics, geography, or fine art. In addition, an applicant must have at least a subsidiary-level pass in Advanced Mathematics or Basic Applied Mathematics at A-level or a minimum of a “C” grade in Basic Mathematics at O-level.
Sifa Za Kujiunga Na Chuo Cha Ardhi Tabora Bachelor of Arts in Economics: A principal pass in economics and a principal pass in any of the following subjects: geography, history, commerce, accounting, physics, chemistry, or advanced mathematics In addition, an applicant must have at least a subsidiary-level pass in Advanced Mathematics or Basic Applied Mathematics at A-level or a minimum of a “D” grade in Basic Mathematics at O-level.
Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering: Two principal-level passes in the following subjects: advanced mathematics and physics. Those without at least a subsidiary pass in chemistry at A-level must have a minimum of a “C” grade in chemistry at O-level.
Bachelor of Science in Computer Systems and Networks: Two principal-level passes in any of the following subjects: advanced mathematics, physics, geography, biology, chemistry, economics, or computer science. In addition, an applicant must have a principal-level pass in advanced mathematics or a subsidiary-level pass in basic applied mathematics at A-level or a minimum of a “C” grade in basic mathematics at O-level.
